As part of my work for the 2019 Erice school on Magnetic Crystallography (https://crystalerice.org/2019/programme_mc.php), I have made several updates to this website:
- There were concerns about how challenging it can be to index magnetic structures. To help I have added :
- A pdf of “Indexing magnetic structures and crystallographic distortions from powder diffraction: Brillouin zone indexing” – Z. Kristallogr. Suppl. 30 (2009) 39-44. This introduces the reverse-Monte Carlo-based Brillouin Zone Indexing method that is in SARAh-Refine
- A pdf of “k search – finding the propagation vector with SARAh”. This is an accompanying guide
- Minor changes to the pdf “A walk through of the maths behind Bertaut’s method of representational analysis of magnetic structures“. These were mainly to add clarifications
